Hey Rebecca!

I know of a few other things to check:

1. Have you (your personal FB profile) officially "Liked" your Small Business Page? If not, definitely do that now.

2. Does your Small Business have a location listed? Omission of a general City/State as a location has been cited as a reason for some pages not showing up in the drop down list of available employers

3. Do you have other items listed in your "Work" section? If so, delete that before adding your work history linking to your business/fan page.

4. Are your personal settings allowing access to others to view your work history? If not, you may want to change those settings to match your visibility and comfort level.

If you are still unable to see your business page in the drop down menu as a choice of Employers, there is a work-around to get it there. Though, I definitely would suggest verifying the above items first.

Hey Kat - you are so cool for offering this help, thanks. So great to meet you. I changed my FB page to 'small business' but it still doesn't show up when I go to my FB profile and try to add a workplace. Weird huh?

Thanks for commenting, Rebecca! I took a peek at your personal and fan site (and gave you a like there, btw... <3 ), and found that your fan site has your business listed as "Actor/Director". I believe this is where to focus your effort.

In order to list employment with "Rebecca Michaels" as a Voice Over Actor, or Voiceoverist, or ...you know the choices, you must list yourself as a business. So, you should edit your fan page to change this.

Go to "Basic Information", then under "Category" select "Companies & Organizations". There you will find quite a few options to best describe your business. I selected "Small Business" as my type as it made the most sense to me at the time.

As a side note: I found that you have no information visible relative to your "Employment" to those not in your friend circle. (Hey! Why aren't we friends?) If you do not allow that to be visible to those outside of your friendship circle, the information will be invisible when you post outside of Facebook. So, check that privacy setting in General Account Settings if you want that to be available for outside viewers.

All privacy issues should be taken seriously, so I don't want to sway you in any way toward opening up your information to those who should not have it.

But.......

I definitely want to make you aware that the omission a more liberal setting in this portion of your profile will not advertise your workplace when you are commenting using a FB app on other sites, such as other VO sites with the FB capability.
